Today the group activity was a tour of Athens city center, the Plaka district. The tour guide mentioned Athens as a building height limit, to preserve the view of the Acropolis, and also because earthquakes limit safe building height. That reminded me of the Washington, DC, height limit to preserve views of the Washington Monument.

After the tour I wandered a bit on my own, including a long walk out of the tourist area to check out Max Perry Handmade Chocolates.
